Frequently asked questions
Am I covered under warranty if I’m not the original owner?
No, warranties for Quantum Rehab products only apply to the original owner of the product and are not transferrable.
How do I clean my power chair?
Your power chair comes with an ABS plastic body shroud that allows it to be easily wiped clean. Use a damp cloth to clean the plastic and metal parts of the unit. You can use a mild, non-abrasive cleanser. If necessary, the power chair can be cleaned with an approved disinfectant, but not before making sure that the disinfectant is safe for use on the chair. Please avoid using any products that may scratch the surface of your power chair and keep your chair clean and free of foreign material, such as mud, dirt, hair, food, drink, etc.
What if my power chair gets wet?
Your power chair, like most electrical equipment, is susceptible to damage from the elements. Avoid damp areas of any kind. Should your power chair come into contact with water:
- Thoroughly dry with a towel as soon as possible;
- Allow your power chair to sit in a warm, dry place for 12 hours to allow unseen water to evaporate;
- Check the operation of the joystick and the brakes before using your electric wheelchair again;
- If you find any inconsistencies, take your power wheelchair to your provider.
Where can I find the serial number?
You can find the serial number in your manual, on page 2, or on the back of the booklet. You can recognize it by looking for the number that starts with an S … and is a total of 14 characters long.
On the mobility scooter itself, you can find it in between the batteries, or on a white sticker on the chair mast.
How often do I need to charge the batteries?
